Grant Writing Process

Ralston Public Schools Food Pantry.  Administration will discuss collaboration of local partnerships, budgets, grant writing process, and sustainability of the schools non-profit food pantry.

Dr. Daniel Boster has served students and families through education for more than two decades, with 15 of those years at Ralston High School.  Dr. Boster is the Secondary Instructional Coach for Ralston Public Schools as well as the English Department Chair.  Outside of the academic day, Boster co-sponsors Ralston High School's chapter of the National Honor Society, which identified a need to support families facing food insecurity in the Ralston schools community.  For two years, Dr. Boster has collaborated with student leaders to both stock and operate a school-based food pantry, and host monthly larger-scale food distributions through the Food Bank for the Heartland.

Ralston High School Senior Taylor Skiles is a co-leader of the chapter's efforts to combat food insecurity among students and families in the Ralston community.  Skiles is an award-winning athlete and serves as a leader in multiple extra-curricular organizations.  As part of her work, Skiles helps coordinate volunteers and solicit donations for both the pantry and monthly distributions.
