Transition from Corporate to Non-Profit

Michelle will discuss the obstacles of moving from the Corporate world to starting a brand-new Non-Profit.  She will cover her forecasting model as well as challenges and opportunities of donations and gifting.

Michelle Hurt, Development and Volunteer Director,

Chariots4Hope

Michelle Hurt grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Parkway North High School. She worked in the medical field for 9 years while pursuing a degree in nursing. After marriage, Michelle decided to accept the ever so challenging, but rewarding job of staying home and raising her two children. She held various leadership positions with her church and school from 2003 through 2013. After relocating her family from Long Island, New York to Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle and her husband opened up an automotive business where she took on the responsibility of Marketing Director.  Michelle and Jason started having heavy hearts for single mothers who were struggling with transportation immediately upon opening their business in 2014. A year and half into their new business, Michelle and Jason felt God calling them to take a leap of faith into ministry. It was towards the end of 2014 when they founded and started their nonprofit, Chariots4Hope, where Michelle currently serves as the Development and Volunteer Director. In just 6 short years, this ministry has seen exponential growth and is currently serving the Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, and St.Joe, MO markets.

Michelle has been married to her husband, Jason for 23 years. They have 2 children, Riley(17) and Gavin(12) and currently live in Omaha, NE.
